“It’s overwhelming and unmanageable. I feel stuck in quicksand.”

I can’t handle situations unless I’m in full control.

I just wish I could feel something.

Are you keeping it together some days, and feel out of control on others? Or do you feel like you’re in a downward spiral? Don’t spend all your energy on trying not to get worse when you can rise to new heights of personal growth and fulfillment. That’s why our program exists: to interrupt that slide and give you a real path forward—so you can be the best version of yourself.

YOUR JOURNEY STARTS HERE.

The Warriors’ Ascent program is free, and it’s for you.

Our week-long program has helped hundreds of military veterans and first responders like you, helping participants find healing post-trauma and take control of their lives. Learn more about what you’re experiencing in your mind and body, and what to do about it.

FIVE DAYS THAT CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING.

Surrounded by people who are facing what you’re facing, you’ll experience simple bunk‑style lodging, shared spaces, and time outside, all in between sessions that offer you tools and skills that will change your life with practice.

Day One

GET YOUR BEARINGS.

You’ll check in, drop your gear, and meet the team and other participants. Nobody expects you to open up right away. The first day is about getting grounded:

  • Simple orientation and safety expectations
  • A first look at how trauma affects your brain and body

Day Two

UNDERSTANDING WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON

Name the problem, so it stops owning you.
Go deeper into how stress and trauma stack up over time, and what you can do about it in your everyday life.

  • Learn how your body handles trauma, and what it needs to thrive
  • Do light physical activities that help you practice taking care of your body, heart and mind
  • Learn the importance of sleep, nutrition, and movement

Day Three

PROCESSING & REWRITING THE STORY

You can’t change the past, but you can change how it affects you today and tomorrow. This is often the most intense day, and we plan for that. With support, you’ll:

  • Learn therapy‑informed tools to challenge the most destructive thoughts
  • Use guided journaling and mindfulness exercises
  • Learn how to overcome emotional avoidance

Day Four

BUILDING NEW HABITS

You have more control over your life than you think! This day shifts from “What happened to me?” to “What can I do now?” You’ll:

  • Learn simple practices for sleep, anger, and flashbacks you can use in a patrol car, firehouse, squad room, or at the kitchen table
  • Explore movement, nutrition, and daily rituals that support healing, not just surviving
  • Build and fortify your mindset so you can be in control of your own life

Day Five

INTEGRATION & GOING HOME

The final day is about preparing for your next steps:

  • Reflect on what changed for you during the week
  • Plan for alumni connections, virtual check‑ins, and how you’ll use our partner resources to continue your healing journey
  • A graduation ceremony that recognizes your courage—not only for what you’ve done in uniform, but for showing up for yourself here

THE 3 PRACTICES OF HEALING

We call it evidence-based because it’s backed by research. Warriors’ Ascent is rooted in what works—both from science and from the lived experience of thousands of veterans and first responders who’ve come through the program. There are three core parts to the healing process we walk through together:

You’ll start to understand why you think, feel, and react the way you do. It’s less about “fixing” yourself and more about discovering how your thoughts influence your emotions and actions—and what you can do to take back control.

LEARNING HOW YOUR MIND WORKS

If you’ve spent years putting everyone else first, this part can feel foreign. But you’ll learn that self-care isn’t selfish. You’ll build simple, doable practices around movement, sleep, nutrition, and breathing that help reset your nervous system and keep you grounded.

SELF-CARE FOR YOUR BEST LIFE

One of the biggest breakthroughs happens when you realize you’re not the only one. You’ll hear your own thoughts come out of others’ mouths. That connection – veteran to veteran, first responder to first responder – is where shame starts to lift and healing begins.

REAL COMMUNITY WITH PEOPLE WHO GET IT

What Other
Graduates Say…

…you’re not broken. You’re a human nervous system that’s had too much stimulation for too long. In this program, you’ll hear your own thoughts come out of other people’s mouths.

Warriors’ Ascent definitely saved my life. My husband and kids got me back again, only better. It’s been five years and although I have some ups and downs, I’m still growing into my best self after all this time.
